Cooking with Lynn: sunny winter elixir

WMDT – It’s Thursday and that means we are back in Lynn Matava’s kitchen.

Lynn is a nutrition educator with the University of Maryland Extension.

If you’re looking for a way to brighten up your mood during the gloomy winter months, then Lynn has the perfect elixir for you.

She says it’s great for those that struggle to drink enough water as it can help with dehydration.

You only need a few citrus fruits such as oranges or lemons, a pot of water, and ginger.

Other additional options include rosemary, cinnamon sticks, turmeric, oregano, or even a tea bag.
