City of Salisbury to reopen offices Wednesday, State of Emergency lifted at 5 p.m. Tuesday
SALISBURY, Md. – The City of Salisbury has announced it will reopen offices on Wednesday.
Additionally, the State of Emergency for the city will be lifted at 5 p.m. Tuesday. City Field Operations crews have begun shifting from clearing snow emergency routes to working on residential areas of the city. We’re told they are currently working in the southeast quadrant of the city, from the Canal Park area to Route 50.
Property owners adjacent to any street within city limits are reminded that they are responsible for the removal of snow from their sidewalks. Those living near fire hydrants are urged to make sure it is accessible with a 4-foot diameter area shoveled around it. When clearing snow from your property or sidewalks, you should not blow, shovel, or plow it into the street.
The Salisbury Zoo will remain closed on Wednesday. The Truitt Street and Newton Street Community Centers will operate on the same schedule as Wicomico County Schools.
