Worcester County Public Works repairing water tower in Ocean Pines
OCEAN PINES, Md. – The Ocean Pines north water tower is getting repaired. This is due to a loose valve that has inhibited proper water flow.
The Worcester County Public Works and Wastewater division will continue the repair until December 19th.
The surrounding area may experience lower-than-normal water pressure.
Once the work is completed, residents may experience brown water.
Worcester County Director of Public Works Dallas Baker said this will just be a temporary issue.
“We have another tower, the south tower for the pines, so we don’t expect there to be any real disruption of services, probably no outages. There will be some low-pressure points throughout the system.”
Officials advise running the water for a few minutes to let it clear up.
