Seaford defeats Laurel in intense showdown

SEAFORD, Del. – Seaford wins an intense stand off against Laurel, 59-53, Tuesday night at home.

Vincent Evans led Seaford with 23 points on the night, with Az’Juan Matthews and Omari Nichols each scoring 12.

Seaford head coach Vince Evans had this to say about the Matthews brothers returning and competition that lies ahead:

“It feels good man both of those kids, well all the boys man, are great boys. You know, they’re from Seaford, so it’s great to have them back and being apart and being involved with what’s going on here. It’s a lot of tough teams man, I told our guys, we’ve been fortunate enough to win the south the last four years, and teams are starting to want to, like they want to beat us, they’re starting to catch up. We lost a tough one the other night. Laurel, I think, is the team to beat and it was a game we had to have tonight.”
