Salisbury PFLAG recognizes Intl. Day of People with Disabilities
SALISBURY, Md. – Salisbury PFLAG is celebrating International Day of People with Disabilities.
The day helps shine a light on the different disabilities that impact people, and Salisbury PFLAG executive director, Mark DeLancey said there are many commonalities between the different marginalized communities, so they’re promoting allyship.
“The overlap there, the intersectionality, consists of people being marginalized. So whether it’s wheelchair accessibilities or employment or housing or things of that nature, we both find ourselves on the same side of the fence when it comes to being marginalized,” DeLancey said.
