Pocomoke house fire under investigation

POCOMOKE, Md. – A Pocomoke home was heavily damaged in a fire Sunday afternoon.

Crews were called to the reported blaze just before 1 p.m. in the 200 block of Walnut Street. Multiple fire departments were called in to assist with the fire, which spread to the third floor and attic areas. Officials say the majority of the damage occurred on the second and third floors due to thermal and smoke damage.

The fire was extinguished in approximately 90 minutes. The investigation is ongoing.
