Planning to drink this NYE? Ocean City Transportation has you covered

OCEAN CITY, Md. – Ocean City officials want you to arrive alive this New Year’s holiday.

The town is meeting folks halfway in that mission by offering free bus rides on New Year’s Eve and day. All you have to do is show up to one of the designated Ocean City transit bus stops
and the bus will take you wherever you need to go, between South Division Street and 144th Street.

Transportation manager, Rob Shearman Jr. said drinking and driving should not be in your holiday plans, so he’s encouraging residents to take advantage of this free resource.

“In Ocean City, we serve a lot of visitors and folks that are there to have fun, so we take part of our mission very seriously, which is to provide a form of transportation as opposed to driving impaired,” Shearman said.

The bus will run every 30 minutes, beginning at 6am Tuesday until 3am Wednesday.
