PITTSVILLE, Md. – Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a woman wanted in connection to an armed robbery in Pittsville.
We’re told the incident happened at around 8 p.m. on November 19th, when a woman reportedly walked into the Dollar General Store in Pittsville wearing a full-face mask and shopped for several items. When the subject approached the register, she allegedly indicated that she was armed and told the clerk to put all the money from the register in a shopping bag before fleeing on foot.
Pittsville Police were able to track the suspect through video surveillance from the store to her apartment in Green Meadows Apartments. The subject was identified as 22-year-old Makalya Marshall, and officers were able to obtain a search warrant for the suspect’s apartment as well as an arrest warrant.
Marshall is still at large and should be considered armed and dangerous. Police say she is known to frequent the Delmar and Berlin areas and drives a black-colored 2009 Honda Accord with Maryland registration 7GK5558. Marshall is currently wanted for armed robbery, robbery, first and second degree assault, and theft.
Anyone with information on Marshall’s whereabouts is urged to contact law enforcement immediately.
