Ocean Pines man charged for assaulting officer

OCEAN PINES, Md. – An Ocean Pines man was arrested for allegedly assaulting a police officer last week.

Just after 1 p.m. Wednesday, officers responded to a reported medical incident at a residence in the 100 block of Ocean Parkway. While police were at the scene, 22-year-old Timothy Price reportedly became verbally abusive and uncooperative with officers, taking a swing at one officer and hitting the officer in the chest.

Price was subsequently arrested and charged with second degree assault. He was later released on an unsecured bond.
