Mechanical issue at Pittsville Water Treatment Plant fixed
PITTSVILLE, Md. – The Town of Pittsville says a recent mechanical issue resulted in water discoloration for residents.
We’re told the Water Treatment Plant experienced a mechanical issue with its equipment, which has since been corrected. Officials say residents may see discolored water temporarily, but the water has been tested with no detrimental issues for human use.
Residents should let their water flow for a while, and the color should return to normal. Any discoloration is expected to clear up within a day.
