Man charged in 2022 triple stabbing in OC convicted, sentenced

OCEAN CITY, Md. – A man charged in connection to a 2022 stabbing on the Ocean City Boardwalk has been convicted and sentenced to prison.

On June 20, 2022, police responded to the area of Wicomico Street and Atlantic Avenue, finding three people suffering from stab wounds after a fight broke out between two groups. Fortunately, all victims recovered.

The primary suspect was identified as Paul Baynard, who was arrested on June 29, 2022. It was determined that he was the sole assailant in the triple stabbing and was charged with multiple counts of attempted murder, assault, and reckless endangerment.

Last month, Baynard was found guilty of first degree assault and was subsequently sentenced to 20 years behind bars with all but 10 years suspended. He was also placed on three years of supervised probation on release.
