Local NAACP chapter to host holiday event

WICOMICO COUNTY, Md. – The Wicomico County NAACP is celebrating community, next Friday.

The local chapter will be hosting a holiday reception and general meeting, welcoming in all members of the public to network and reflect on this year, while looking ahead to 2025.

Wicomico County NAACP President, Monica Brooks, said getting the community together to collaborate and set a collective standard for growth is just the first step to a successful year.

“We are very dedicated to protecting and guarding the civil rights of citizens in our county, and we invite anyone who is interested in being a part of that to join in,” Brooks said.

“The open reception will be held from 5-6:30pm at the Chipman Cultural Center.
