Good Morning Delmarva discusses the 31st annual penguin swim
WMDT – The 31st annual penguin swim is just around the corner on New Year’s Day!
It’s a fun event that raises money to support Atlantic General Hospital in their mission to provide quality care to the community.
This morning, Caitlin Evans, co-chair for the event, stopped by to tell us more about it and how you can donate.
Last year, they had almost 1,000 people participate in the plunge.
Evans says it’s a great way to ring in the new year, plus, it’s a great holiday tradition for residents.
It will be at the Princess Royale on 91st street in Ocean City which is also kicking off its 150-year anniversary celebration.
It’s currently $30, but will increase to $35 on New Year’s Eve and day.
