First State Educate awards grant funding to local school boards in Delaware

DELAWARE. – First State Educate hosted its end-of-the-year celebration, awarding $2,000-dollar mini-grants to school boards in the state of Delaware.

The recipients of the awards were the Capital School Board in Kent County and the Christina School Board in New Castle County.

The Capital School Board will use the funding to incorporate Artificial Intelligence (AI) into school board policies. The board hopes this will lead to improved student achievement in Kent County.

FSE Executive Director Julia Keleher, tells WMDT, the organization will continue to empower groups across the First State

“Seeing the faces of people who were present, as well as the follow-up emails, I got, it was truly a success. I think First State Educate is opening up a door for all of Delaware to be part of this workaround school boards.”

First State Educate will look to help more groups in 2025. If you would like more information, you can visit their website here.
