Emerging Leaders: Olivia Totaro and Nathan Powers

WMDT – It’s Monday and that means it’s time to introduce you to the newest members of Emerging Leaders.

Salisbury University’s MASMI team recently placed second overall at the 17th annual national sales challenge.

This morning, Olivia Totaro and Nathan Powers, MASMI ambassadors, stopped by to tell us more about this amazing achievement.

The Mid-Atlantic Sales and Marketing Institute (MASMI) serves as a representative for the Perdue Business School.

They run a sales competition every fall and spring semester which we’re told gives the students hands-on experience.

Powers tells us that the most exciting part about this opportunity was the preparation period before the challenge because they all got to work together as a team.

Totaro says that for her it was being able to represent Salisbury University and the lower eastern shore while competing in different states.

They are currently prepping for a potential competition in the spring and the internal competition at Salisbury University next semester.
