Emerging Leader: B&J’s Soulful Creations

WMDT- It’s Monday and that means it’s time to introduce you to a new emerging leader.

LaTosha Bateman, is the private chef behind the Salisbury catering company B&J’s Soulful Creations.

They focus on creating delicious cuisine and teaching the youth about the culinary arts.

The company recently won prize money at Salisbury University’s Philip E. and Carole R. Ratcliffe Foundation Shore Hatchery entrepreneurship competition.

This morning, Bateman stopped by Good Morning Delmarva to tell us more about this great achievement.

We’re told LaTosha was once a troubled youth and was able to turn her life around.

She now feels it’s her duty to give back to the community and help other kids learn skills that will stay with them forever.

Bateman worked 15 years at Salisbury University in dining services which she credits for her success as an entrepreneur.
