Downtown Salisbury footbridge closed due to safety concerns

SALISBURY, Md. – City of Salisbury officials say the footbridge over the Wicomico River from Lot 16 to the River Walk Amphitheater has been closed due to safety concerns.

We’re told the bridge was deemed unsafe after an engineering inspection revealed compromised structural integrity.

Officials will provide updates when further decisions have been made.
