Christmas eve shooting under investigation in Dover

DOVER, Del. – A Christmas eve shooting is under investigation in Dover.

Just before 7 pm Dover Police got word from from Bayhealth Kent Campus that a 14-year-old male had been admitted with a gunshot wound.

The victim was flown to a New Castle County Hospital, where he remains in critical condition.

An investigation by police revealed that the victim was sitting in a parked vehicle on Willis road when two suspects identified only as black males approached the suspect firing several shots at the car and running away.

There are currently no leads to provide and the circumstances surrounding this shooting remain under investigation.
