Caroline Co. house fire deemed accidental
HENDERSON, Md. – Fire marshals say a house fire in Caroline County on Saturday was accidental.
The fire was reported shortly before 4:45 p.m., at a home located at 25095 Trunk Line Road in Henderson. Crews were able to quickly extinguish the blaze, which reportedly began on the front porch of the home.
Further investigation determined that the fire was caused by careless discarding of smoking materials, which reportedly ignited the contents of a flower pet and spread to the structure. Total damage was estimated at $25,000.
