Wicomico Co. man sentenced to life for sexually abusing minor

WICOMICO CO., Md. – A Wicomico County man convicted of raping a minor has been sentenced to life in prison plus 65 years.

36-year-old Darnell Jenkins was convicted earlier this year of two counts of sex abuse of a minor, second degree rape, two counts of attempted second degree rape, and three counts of third degree sex offense.

The charges stem from an investigation that revealed that between 2019 and 2020, Jenkins sexually abused a child under the age of 9.
