FELTON, Del. – A Felton man is behind bars on charges stemming from a stolen gun investigation.

In September, Dover Police and Delaware State Police began investigating a reported theft of a firearm in the 100 block of West Loockerman Street in Dover. The suspect was identified as 18-year-old Sahir Samuels,  an active probationer who is reportedly prohibited from possessing a firearm.

Last week, officers conducted a probation search of Samuels’ residence, arresting him and finding a stolen Taurus 9mm handgun, 3D printed Glock style frame, trigger, and mechanism, and 9mm magazines and ammunition.

Samuels was charged with theft of a firearm, possession of an unfinished firearm frame or receiver with no serial number, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, three counts of possession of a firearm or ammunition by a person prohibited, and attempt to commit the possession of a weapon with an obliterated serial number. He was held at SCI on a $44,000 cash bond.
