Seaford man arrested for felony DUI, firearm charges

SEAFORD, Del. – A Seaford man is behind bars on multiple charges including DUI.

At around 4:20 p.m. Tuesday, troopers were called to Woodland Ferry Road for a report of a vehicle on the ferry with a driver who appeared to be unconscious. When troopers arrived, the driver was being evaluated by EMS and refused medical treatment.

When troopers contacted the man, identified as 51-year-old Leslie Riggleman Jr., they observed multiple signs of impairment and subsequently arrested him. A search of his person and vehicle led police to find 1.17 grams of heroin, drug paraphernalia, and a shotgun. A computer check also showed that Riggleman reportedly had two previous DUI convictions.

Riggleman was charged with possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, possession of a controlled substance in a tier 1 quantity, third offense DUI, possession of a firearm while under the influence, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was held at SCI on a $26,500 secured bond.
