Rep. Bryan Shupe to host public listening session, collaborate with community
DELAWARE. – Delaware State Representative Bryan Shupe will be hosting a listening session for his constituents in district 36.
Shupe has been the district’s representative for 5 years and has hosted these sessions before. But this year, he plans to focus on three issues in particular.
Education, development and public safety are on the agenda. Shupe said the political climate on a national level can trickle down to some of the issues that are seen locally.
“Even though we do this every year, I felt that especially this year with the national politics being so divisive during the campaign season, it would be really helpful to get the community together and listen to what Ideas they have,” Shupe said.
Anyone who attends is encouraged to bring their ideas and share them in the public comment period.
“My job is really to reflect the people in the community, and to not just vote yes or no, but also to come up with solutions that are community driven,” Shupe said. “I’m hoping that I can continue to be someone in our community that people when they have an idea, or they have a concern, they can call right away.”
The session will be held on Tuesday, November 26th, at the Milford Police Station, from 6-7:30PM.
