Registered sex offender sentenced to 30 years for sexually abusing minor

1280 Behr Jr

SALISBURY, Md. – A Salisbury man convicted of sexually abusing a minor will spend 30 years behind bars.

36-year-old Steven Behr Jr. was convicted in September of sex abuse of a minor and prohibited entry onto property by a sexual offender registrant.

The charges stem from an investigation that revealed that between 2022 and 2024, Behr sexually abused a minor child, and the home was reportedly a site where informal daycare services were provided by the homeowner.

Behr was a Tier II registered sex offender as a result of two previous cases in which he was convicted of multiple counts of fourth degree sex offense. Because of this, he was prohibited from entering onto property where daycare services were provided.
