Recovery Resource Center among recipients to receive $75,000 from Community Reinvestment and Repair Fund
SALISBURY, Md. – The Recovery Resource Center has been announced as a new recipient of the new community reinvestment and repair fund.
with the new $75,000, RRC is planning on using this grant to implement a peer navigators’ program.
This program will engage individuals in need with guidance, encouragement, and assistance. Things like setting up a bank account or looking into school options.
Executive Director, Lisa Campbell hopes for this to be a successful new era for the center.
“What we will be is that warm handoff, that soft handoff to another agency, tell them to contact this person, this is the right door to go through. You know, anybody can be told that and get a list from someplace, but we’re going to model and help them get that interaction from these other agencies as well.”
RRC plans to also use the funding to build a new food pantry for people in need. The hope is for it to open in December for 24/7 support.
You can visit the RRC at 726 S Salisbury Blvd Suite E, Salisbury, MD 21804.
