Recovery Resource Center aims to support addiction recovery with Shore Gives More campaign

SALISBURY, Md. – The Recovery Resource Center is teaming up with the Community Foundation of the Eastern Shore for Giving Tuesday. The RRC is just one of many non-profits signed up for their annual Shore Gives More campaign, an online giving event.

“The RRC is a place where people come to find hope from addiction,” says Recovery Resource Center Executive Director Lisa Campbell.

The center is a non-profit dedicated to addressing the recovery needs of those who struggle with addiction. Located on South Salisbury Boulevard in Salisbury, officials say they provide a safe space for anyone needing help, no matter the time of day. They hold 12 step and other recovery meetings at the facility all day, but someone is there overnight as well to help connect people with recovery resources. The center says they stand ready to help everyone who reaches out in need of assistance.

“Helping to reduce some of that stress as people are transitioning from life where all they knew was reaching out to a bottle, a pill, or what have you, and finding some healthier ways to deal with life on life’s terms,” explains Campbell.

This year the RRC’s Giving Tuesday goal is to bring in $1,000. You can visit their Shore Gives More fundraising page here.
