UPDATE: MSP investigating double fatal crash in Cambridge
11/8 UPDATE: Police have identified the victims in this crash as 54-year-old Shankar Mondal and 37-year-old Quail Dasgupta.
A 1-year-old girl was also flown to Johns Hopkins for treatment.

CAMBRIDGE, Md. – Maryland State Police say an investigation is underway into a double fatal crash Sunday night in Cambridge.
Just before 10 p.m., troopers were called to the area of eastbound Route 50 near Austin Road for the crash report. Preliminary investigation shows that a Subaru was driving east when, for unknown reasons, veered off the roadway and hit a utility pole. The car then reportedly caught on fire.
The adult male driver was pronounced dead at the scene, while the adult female passenger was flown to the University of Maryland Shore Regional Health at Cambridge, where she was later pronounced dead. A juvenile passenger was also reportedly flown to Johns Hopkins Pediatric Hospital in Baltimore for treatment.
The crash remains under investigation.
