Member of Rehoboth Beach Board of Commissioners resigns

REHOBOTH BEACH, Del. – The City of Rehoboth Beach has announced that Don Preston has resigned from the Board of Commissioners, effective immediately.

Preston joined the Board of Commissioners in September 2023 after running unopposed.

Mayor Stan Mills said, “While I am disappointed with Commissioner Preston’s resignation from the Board of Commissioners, I sincerely appreciate his service to the community.”

City officials say they expect to appoint someone to fill the remainder of Preston’s term, which ends in September 2026.

WMDT’s Rob Petree has reached out to the City of Rehoboth for more information and is awaiting a response at this time.
