Local woman hosting donation drive for Hurricanes Helene and Milton victims

DELMARVA. – A local woman is working to uplift survivors of hurricanes Helene and Milton.

Staci Palmer is originally from North Carolina, so the state has a special place in her heart. That’s why when the hurricanes hit, she knew she wanted to help those who were impacted.

She’s organizing the North Carolina Strong Fundraiser and Donation Drive and asking for community members to donate items like non-perishable foods, diapers and toiletries.

Staci is looking forward to seeing her fellow community members show up for North Carolina.

“We have a lot of great donations from the community,” Palmer said. “As far as baskets for raffles, we’ve got baskets of cheers with alcohol in them, we’ve got Georgia’s vodka supporting us.”

The event will be held on November 23rd at FOP Lodge #111. You can drop off donations at any Pohanka location in Salisbury.
