Lincoln man arrested for stealing vehicle, committing hit and run
LINCOLN, Del. – A Lincoln man is behind bars after police say she committed a hit and run in a stolen vehicle Saturday morning.
At around 9:30 a.m., troopers were called to the area of Dupont Boulevard and Johnson Road for a reported hit and run involving a stolen vehicle. It was learned that the suspect, later identified as 32-year-old David Frasier, stole an unoccupied white Ford Ecoline delivery truck while the driver was delivering a package on Johnson Road. Fraiser drove westbound on Johnson Road toward Dupont Boulevard, where he reportedly crashed the truck into the side of a white BMW that was stopped at a red light. Frasier continued fleeing northbound on Dupont Boulevard and continued driving recklessly while spilling packages from the vehicle onto the roadway.
A short time later, Frasier abandoned the stolen truck and fled on foot, but was quickly located by Milford Police officers.
The occupants of the BMW were not injured.
Fraiser was subsequently arrested and charged with four counts of first degree reckless endangerment, theft of a motor vehicle, driving while suspended or revoked, leaving the scene of property collision accident, failure to report public highway collision with damage greater than $2000, failure to provide information at collision scene, and additional traffic offenses.
