Indian River punches ticket to 1A championship game

DAGSBORO, Del. – Indian River’s rushing attack kept Polytech at bay, as the top seed in the 1A tournament advanced to the championship game by a 30-22 score.

A light, yet driving, rain combined with wind forced IR to keep the ball on the ground most of the night.

Javion Chandler scored a touchdown and two-point conversion to end the first half, and again at the beginning of the second half.

Polytech made it a game late, but it was too little too late.

Indian River will play the winner of Tatnall and Brandywine next weekend for the 1A championship.
