Groove City hosts successful Thanksgiving giveaway for the community
CAMBRIDGE, Md. – Groove City Market assembled a Thanksgiving giveaway for the community. Residents of Cambridge in need, went to 441 Race Street to get a free Thanksgiving plate.
The plates included turkey meats, macaroni and cheese, and sweet potatoes. On their way out, community members were also handed a free uncooked turkey for themselves.
The group’s owner, Isaac Adams, who is from the area, believes giving back to his community is a special feeling.
“Every year it gets bigger and better, you see the turnout, they are outside. Seeing the smiles on their faces and being able to do it at this magnitude this year is a beautiful thing.”
With the recent gun violence that has occurred in Cambridge, Adams tells WMDT, that Groove City will continue to provide events for the community.
