Good Morning Delmarva discusses Thanksgiving food drive

WMDT – On November 23rd, there will be a thanksgiving food drive and giveaway!

It’s a public event and this morning organizer, La’reka Marshall, and barbershop owner, Jay Green, stopped by to tell us more about it.

Both La’reka and Jay say they have a serving heart, and they love to give back to the community.

They are partnering with the food bank to provide free meals to those in need during the holiday.

Jay says being able to provide for people during such a special time is important to him.

We’re told that there’s a demand for events like these in our area.

Marshall says her biggest advice for someone who wants to help others is to rely on your own resources first.

Again, the drive will be held on November 23rd at Clipper Skills Barbershop on North DuPont Blvd in Milford.
