Former Easton PD Sergeant sentenced for misconduct in office

EASTON, Md. – A former Easton Police Sergeant convicted of two counts of misconduct in office was sentenced on Friday.

Jason Dyott was sentenced to four years behind bars with all but six months suspended.

Dyott’s employment with the Easton Police Department ended effective October 31, 2024.

This comes following an investigation into reports that Dyott was engaging in physical sexual conduct with two teenage girls while on duty as an Easton Police officer.
