Diakonia’s 3rd annual Turkey Trot is set for Thanksgiving morning
OCEAN CITY, Md. – The 3rd annual Diakonia ‘Turkey Trot’ is set to take place on Thanksgiving. On Thursday morning, the community is invited to either run or walk in the event on the Ocean City boardwalk to support Diakonia. It is one of the fundraisers that the non-profit organization puts on annually.
There will be music, entertainment, and, of course, exercise. You can register online ahead of the event, but Diakonia is also accepting walk-up registrations.
Runners are set to begin at 9 a.m. with walkers starting behind at 9:05 a.m.
Diakonia Executive Director, Ken Argot encourages everyone to come out and join in on all the fun.
“Usually, we’re done at 10:30 or 11 o’clock. You can get back to cooking the rest of your dinner. You already have your turkey in the oven, you probably need a couple of hours to bake. It’s just a fun thing to do as a family, if you have visitors from out of town, bring them out, so we can have a great time together.”
This event will take place rain or shine. To participate, click here.
