Chase leads to arrest warrant for Ellendale woman
ELLENDALE, Del. – Ellendale Police are searching for a woman who reportedly fled Saturday evening.
Shortly before 9 p.m., the Ellendale Police Chief was on patrol when he saw a suspicious vehicle with expired tags pulling into a private drive on South Old State Street, just north of State Street. The officer contacted the driver, who reportedly gave a false name. A portable fingerprint scanner positively identified the driver as 39-year-old Jeniveve Longoria. While waiting for the confirmation from the fingerprint scanner, Longoria allegedly got back into her vehicle and drove around the police vehicle, fleeing on South Old State Street. She then crossed over State Route 16 and continued fleeing north on North Old State Road.
Police subsequently obtained warrants for Longoria for criminal impersonation, driving while revoked, resisting arrest, disregarding a police officer signal, failure to have insurance, failure to transfer title and registration, and expired tags.
Anyone with information on Longoria’s arrest is asked to contact the Ellendale Police Department at 302-422-3584 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-TIP-3333.
