Cape Henlopen falls to St. Georges

LEWES, Del. – Cape Henlopen loses to St. Georges 31-27 to fall to 1-4 in district play and 5-5 overall on the season.

The Vikings fell behind 17-13 at halftime before punching back. Jayden Messick scored a 45-yard touchdown run to make it 20-17 midway through the third quarter. Jameson Tingle added another 40-yard touchdown run for the second explosive play of the quarter to give them a 10-point lead heading to the fourth quarter.

Unfortunately, the Vikings would give up the double-digit lead in the final frame when the Hawks outscored them 14-0 to steal a win on the road.
