Cambridge man convicted, sentenced on drug charges
SALISBURY, Md. – A Cambridge man has been convicted of charges stemming from a traffic stop earlier this year.
On May 17th, Salisbury Police officers tried to stop a vehicle being driven by 31-year-old Dorron Taylor. Taylor fled and led officers on a brief chase before being taken into custody. A subsequent search of the vehicle led to officers seizing a large amount of fentanyl, cocaine, cannabis, and drug paraphernalia.
Last month, Taylor pleaded guilty to possession of a large amount of fentanyl and possession with the intent to distribute cocaine. He was sentenced on Monday to 15 years incarceration with all but five years suspected, which is a mandatory minimum sentence without parole.
