Burn ban issued for entire state of Maryland

MARYLAND – The Maryland Department of Natural Resources has announced a statewide burn ban effective Friday, November 1st.

This ban is in effect for all Maryland counties due to the persistence of extremely dry conditions. The fine for violating the ban is $125.

The burn ban will remain in effect until the state has received sufficient precipitation to reduce the threat of wildfires statewide.
