Worcester County accepting donations for Hurricane Helene Victims

WORCESTER COUNTY, Md. – Worcester County is accepting donations for victims of Hurricane Helene.

Worcester County is collecting donations for McDowell County, North Carolina, an area that was hit hard by the hurricane.

“McDowell residents have lost everything, so their needs are tremendous and immediate,” Worcester County Human Resources Specialist Kelly Brinkley said, “When you don’t have food to fill your belly or a diaper to put on your baby, it affects your entire life. When someone has a chronic condition, like diabetes, specialty foods are lifesaving to that person.”

They are in dire need of over-the-counter medical supplies, first aid kits, drinks, and food. You can drop off the items at the Worcester County Government Center and Worcester County Recreation in Snow Hill until Friday, October 4th at noon.
