WMDT General Manager receives Business Professional of the Year award

SALISBURY, Md. – The Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce held its annual Awards Luncheon Thursday afternoon, honoring members of the business community for their hard work.

The event also featured Wicomico County Tourism awards. WMDT General Manager Teri Monahan was honored to receive the Business Professional of the Year Award, an honor given to a person who is widely recognized as a successful business and community leader. Teri was humble as she accepted the award, telling everyone she doesn’t work alone.

“But it’s really due in part to the team that works at the station for me, how we support this community, how we bring factual news and weather to our viewers, to our community. And that’s something we don’t take lightly.”

Also honored at the luncheon was Bill McCain of W.R. McCain and Associates, who received the Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce Hall of Fame Award.
