Wicomico Co. Board of Elections recruiting future poll judges

SALISBURY, Md.- The Wicomico County Board of Elections is always on the lookout for bipartisan poll judges.

Poll judges ensure the security of elections and assist in the process of checking voters in. And if they arise, they also have the important job of settling disputes at election locations.

Poll judges undergo training before participating in an election. Wicomico County Elections Director, Dionne Church, said they’re using this election to get people interested in the electoral system.

“If someone is interested in becoming a judge, we do have brochures here at our early voting center and we will continue to accept applications from any voter that is interested in being a judge,” Church said.
