City of Milford thinking about adding dispensaries within city limits
MILFORD, Del. – The City of Milford is inviting the public to a public input hearing on marijuana regulations.
The meeting will be on Monday, October 28th, at 6 p.m. at City Hall.
The city is considering, amending zoning codes to address the sale, testing, and cultivation of recreational marijuana.
Delaware legalized recreational marijuana last year and Milford’s Planning Director Rob Pierce, said the goal of this hearing is to hear the public’s concerns on where dispensaries could be located.
“This input meeting is to discuss, the businesses and where they would be located, and not to discuss the use of marijuana, since that has already been decided on in the Delaware law. It’s really to consider whether we want to allow the recreational marijuana dispensary in the municipality and if we do, where would it be located?”
City Hall is located at 201 South Walnut Street.
