Queen Anne’s hold off Kent Island to take the North

CENTREVILLE, Md. – Queen Anne’s girls soccer held off Kent Island in a 1-1 tie to take the Bayside North title Wednesday night.

Abigail Mahaffey strikes early to put Kent Island in front.

On a penalty kick, Shannon Rath ties it up for Queen Anne’s at 1-1.

The game would be extended to double overtime where both Kent Island and Queen Anne’s came close but still no goal.

Queen Anne’s only having to hold off Kent Island to a tie would go on to take the North.

Queen Anne’s will go on to play the South champion on October 21.
