Proactive initiative held by Cambridge PD leads to multiple citations, arrests

CAMBRIDGE, Md. – A proactive initiative conducted by Cambridge Police on Friday led to numerous traffic stops and citations.

We’re told the initiative was held from approximately 6 p.m. until midnight and aimed at curbing criminal activity and informing and educating on proper traffic regulations.

Police say the initiative resulted in the following:

  • 20 total traffic stops
  • 25 traffic warnings
  • 9 traffic citations
  • One K-9 sniff for CDS which resulted in an arrest
  • 6 criminal citations for CDS violations.
  • One felony arrest for murder stemming from recent homicide
  • One juvenile arrest for fleeing on a scooter
