TALBOT CO., Md. – A portion of a Talbot County road will temporarily close next week for construction of the new Shore Regional Medical Center.

Starting October 7th, a section of Longwoods Road (Route 662) between Airport Road and Hiners Lane will close for approximately seven months. Detour signs will be posted to direct motorists to Route 50, and access to homes and businesses in the area will be maintained.

Shore Regional Health will reconstruct this section of Route 662, integrating Regional Medical Center access roads into the new alignment.

Route 662 is scheduled to reopen to traffic in May 2025.
