UPDATE: Search for wanted Caroline Co. man discontinued

11:40 a.m. UPDATE: Police say they have discontinued the active search for Joshua Murphy.

We’re told Murphy still remains at large, and anyone with information on his whereabouts should contact their local law enforcement agency.

CAROLINE CO., Md. – Caroline County Sheriffs are actively searching for a man who reportedly fled from police Wednesday morning.

35-year-old Joshua Murphy is currently wanted by both the Caroline County Sheriff’s Office and Delaware State Police. Both agencies, as well as Maryland State Police and Natural Resources Police are searching for Murphy.

Murphy is described as approximately 5’9″ and 215 pounds.

Residents are urged to not approach Murphy if they see him and instead call 911 or your local law enforcement agency.
