Oktoberfest returns Saturday in Berlin

 

 

BERLIN, Md. – The German culture festival, ‘Oktoberfest’ is returned to downtown Berlin, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday.

Sponsored by grants, from the Maryland State Arts Council and Department of Housing & Community Development. There will be authentic Oktoberfest music featuring The Edelweiss Band and the Dune Hounds.

A variety of classic German foods, including brats, knockwurst, and German chocolate cake. The Director, of Economic and Community Development Ivy Wells, said Oktoberfest is truly a one-of-a-kind experience.

“There’s nothing better than Oktoberfest in a place called Berlin, and the only way you’re going to celebrate Oktoberfest is in a town called Berlin right here in Berlin Maryland.”

You can park at Berlin Intermediate School and take the free shuttle to downtown. The Shuttle runs from 10:30 am to 4:30 pm.

The event is free of charge.
