Milford Library to host monthly educational program highlighting politics

MILFORD, Del. – With election season heating up, the Milford Public Library is educating the community on local voting history.

In this month’s educational program, former US history teacher, Lew Miller, will give a presentation on the 1800 election between John Adams and Thomas Jefferson, talking about how a Delawarean played a role in its outcome.

Milford Museum director, Thomas M. Summers, said this will help the community better understand the political landscape.

“It’s a fascinating story, because it was a very close election and there’s a lot of things that happened during the course of the election,” Summers said. “The important thing here is that somebody from Delaware really made the difference between who was elected president that year.”

The program starts at 1PM, Saturday, at the Milford public Library.
