Life Crisis center offers free bags packed with essentials to sexual assault, domestic violence victims
SALISBURY, Md. – The Life Crisis Center is providing bags packed with essentials for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault.
In cases of sexual assault, often times the survivor’s clothes may be collected for evidence, leaving them in scrubs or clothes that are not their own.
To curb that and help survivors leave a traumatic event in a dignified way,
the Life Crisis Center filled up totes with clothing and toiletries, offering them for free to survivors.
“What we did is we provide clothing, sweatshirts, sweatpants, undergarments, and we were able to provide them with some hygiene items, toothbrush, deodorant and some other things so they could leave and have some dignity,” said Life Crisis Center legal director, Christina Feehan.
